    Product Feed

A product feed is a structured file with your product data that channels like Google Shopping, Meta or price-comparison sites ingest automatically.

A product feed contains fields per product such as title, description, price, availability, image URL, GTIN and category — usually as an XML or CSV file or an API transfer. Google Merchant Center, Meta catalogs, comparison shopping engines and marketplaces build their ads and listings directly from this data.

Feed quality drives ad performance: precise titles with relevant attributes (brand, model, color, size), correct GTINs and up-to-date availability measurably improve delivery and click prices on Google Shopping. Broken feeds, on the other hand, lead to disapproved products and wasted budget.

In Shopify, feeds are produced via native integrations (e.g. the Google & YouTube app), feed apps or custom exports. The foundation remains data hygiene in the store: what is not structured in product fields and metafields cannot be output cleanly by any feed tool.
