Starting point
One catalogue. Many systems, identifiers and critical live connections.
Kanela’s system landscape had grown across PrestaShop, PB-Soft, Pixi/Toolbox, Mulwi, Channable, Mirakl and several SFTP directories. The migration therefore had to protect daily operations while creating a simpler, auditable architecture.
—Unify product identities across SKU, EAN/GTIN, Pharmacode, legacy product IDs and marketplace IDs
—Evaluate stock from the own warehouse, Galexis and Avosana safely
—Process marketplace orders without loss or duplicate imports
—Protect live integrations until each replacement is verified and approved
—Migrate products, categories, customers, orders and legacy URLs with full traceability

Commerce architecture
Shopify Plus connects the storefront, ERP, suppliers and marketplaces.
Each flow was separated into product data, prices and inventory, orders, and shipping or cancellation events. Explicit identifiers, validation and permanent logs make every transition controllable.
Shopify Plus at the centre
Storefront, product data, categories, customer accounts and historical orders were consolidated on a scalable commerce foundation.
Pixi & Toolbox
ERP references, fulfilments, quantities and tracking data are reconciled at line-item level before marketplace events are created.
Zur Rose
Product data, prices and stock move through automated SFTP processes; orders, shipping and cancellations are permanently logged.
Galaxus
Five separate feeds and a protected openTRANS workflow provide a controlled PDI/EDI architecture.
Manor
Existing Mirakl identities remain intact while offer, price and stock data transition to the new workflow in stages.
Inventory sync
Own stock, Galexis and Avosana are evaluated together so missing or stale data cannot trigger false sales stops.
Implementation
From legacy data to automated commerce operations.
01
Data model and migration
Products, categories, stock, customers, bonus balances, orders, reviews and redirects were systematically reconciled and transferred.
02
Catalogue and SEO protected
337,891 product-category relationships were analysed. 147,753 legacy URL mappings from four language versions were created and read back.
03
Marketplace commerce automated
Zur Rose, Galaxus and Manor received separate data, order, shipping and cancellation workflows with explicit channel sources and duplicate protection.
04
Stock synchronised intelligently
A dedicated application combines own stock with availability at Galexis and Avosana and automatically stops unusual bulk changes.
05
Storefront built for a large catalogue
Mobile navigation, filters, search, bestseller logic, cart drawer, reviews and price campaigns were designed around the extensive range.
Marketplace commerce
Three marketplaces. Separate flows. One controlled operating model.
Zur Rose
27,302
validated products
Daily product data plus price and inventory updates every 15 minutes, including automated order, shipment and cancellation flows.
Galaxus
32,203
consistent identifiers
ProductData, PriceData, StockData, MediaData and SpecificationData are validated separately and supplied as stable snapshots.
Manor
3,159
matched offers
Existing offers were matched to Shopify variants by GTIN and prepared for a controlled Mirakl/Mulwi transition.
Operational safety
Unclear data is blocked—not silently propagated.
The key improvement is control. Feeds are validated before release, inventory changes only use reliable sources and marketplace events remain auditable.
—Temporary uploads, read-back checks and checksums before publication
—Unambiguous SKU, EAN, GTIN and Pharmacode matching
—Dry runs and safety thresholds for unusual inventory changes
—Global job locks and a permanent shipping journal against duplicate processing
—Targeted blocking of unclear records instead of uncontrolled bulk changes
