Which clients from Stuttgart and the region do we work for?
Olakala is registered in Stuttgart, and we have looked after its store for several years. Its tracking had grown over time and ran almost entirely in the browser, where ad blockers and browser settings swallow data.
We rebuilt it with Google Tag Manager, GA4, the Meta Conversions API and server-side tracking on Shopify Plus. The store now records 30 percent more sessions than with the old setup. Read the Olakala case study and the page on tracking setups.
DoggyBearz in Gerlingen, the town bordering Stuttgart to the west, sells supplementary feed for dogs, and we adapted the theme of its store. O'Neal, a brand for motocross and mountain bike gear, has its European company in Vaihingen an der Enz and is a client as well. Neither project has a published case study.
How does a German manufacturer take B2B orders from abroad?
The Stuttgart region is shaped by mechanical engineering, vehicle manufacturing and their suppliers. Many of these companies are mid-sized, sell abroad as well and run the business in an ERP, often SAP. Dealers and customers in other countries order by email, and the sales office enters every order by hand. A store is meant to take over that work, in the customer's language and currency.
Shopify Plus handles this with company profiles and markets. Each business customer has its own buyers, catalog, price list and payment terms. Each country has its own currency, language and tax treatment. Prices stay in the ERP and are transferred from there, and the order returns with customer number and line items. The pages on Shopify B2B, SAP integration and Shopify internationalization describe the three parts.
A published example from Baden-Württemberg is Hairshop Pro in Friesenheim. It sells to consumers and has structures for business customers in place. PlentyMarkets remained the product data system after the move to Shopify Plus, and a custom interface synchronises master data, stock, prices and orders. The project took three months, and the conversion rate rose by 35 percent. See the Hairshop Pro case study.

Why NICCOS as your Shopify agency in Stuttgart?
A B2B store is an integration project with a user interface. We start with the ERP and the terms and come to design afterwards.
The ERP stays in charge
PlentyMarkets remained the product data system at Hairshop Pro, and weclapp supplies product attributes at Blankroast.
A Stuttgart client for several years
We look after Olakala on an ongoing basis. The tracking case study is published.
Several countries from one store
MYCR7 went live in the EU and Switzerland at the same time, with euros and francs.
An app of our own in the Shopify App Store
Best Price Indicator (PAngV) is published and can be installed by any merchant.
Which companies are a fit for our Stuttgart team?
We fit manufacturers and brands that want business customers to order online while the ERP remains the source for products, prices and customers.
Your dealers abroad order by email
Orders should move into a store that speaks their language and feeds the ERP.
Every customer has its own prices
Terms, tiers and payment terms live in the ERP and should apply in the store.
You sell spare parts or accessories
Customers search by article number and re-order what they know.
A consumer brand is growing next to B2B
Consumers should buy in the same store with their own prices and tone.
When we are probably not the right fit
You need a configurator for plants with a quote and technical approval per order.
Your ERP may not be read or written from outside.
Sales and IT disagree on whether customers should order online.
Brands we work for
What do companies ask our Stuttgart team for?
SAP integration
Connecting S/4HANA, ECC and Business One to Shopify Plus.
Shopify B2B
Company profiles, catalogs, price lists and payment terms.
Shopify internationalization
Export markets with their own currency, language and tax.
System integration
Interfaces to ERP, product data system and warehouse.
Tracking setups
Server-side tracking as built for Olakala.
Shopify app development
Custom apps for logic the standard does not cover.
How does a B2B project on Shopify run?
Record the ordering routes
We look at how customers order today and what the order desk does with it.
Map the terms
Customer groups, price lists and payment terms from the ERP are mapped to company profiles and catalogs.
Build the interface
Products, prices, stock and orders flow through an interface that reports errors and retries.
Pilot with selected customers
A small group orders first. Their feedback goes into the store before all customers are invited.
Handover to sales
Order desk and field sales learn to invite customers and to place orders on a customer's behalf.
What changes when B2B customers abroad order online?
Net prices and VAT
Business customers in other EU countries with a valid VAT ID are invoiced without German VAT.
Currency
Price lists can be held per currency so that a Swiss dealer sees francs.
Language
Product names and technical data need a translation that matches the ERP record.
Delivery terms
Who pays freight and duties is agreed per customer and shown on the order.
Several buyers per company
Purchasing, workshop and branch order under one account with their own rights.
Availability
Stock and delivery time come from the ERP and are shown on the product.
Projects from Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg and the Palatinate
Three published projects from south-west Germany. All figures come from the respective case study.
